Tea and Castle

Where creativity meets comfort

Welcome!

Castles have walls. Castles are places where a lord or lady keeps their treasures, protected and guarded. Welcome to my castle, which is open to anyone. This is a place of color and magic, of creativity and comfort. Step inside these walls, roam the corridors of my mind, and take a look at some of my treasures.

Castles have large open gardens. They add beauty and life to what would otherwise be a rough block of dull grey stone. Every flower is unique: each color its own vibrant hue, each shape distinct, each perfume a delicate bouquet. Together they work to create harmony and enrich the surrounding landscape. In these gardens you can leisurely stroll through nature or simply sit down for a nice cup of tea, and take things in at your own pace.

Castles sometimes have gatekeepers. Not this castle. Here, we can be whoever we want, and we can be free. This castle is inclusive of all different people, especially those who fall out of the pre-scribed boxes of cis-heteronormative society. I myself do not fit within those boxes, and I hope everyone else that doesn’t can find a place of comfort in this little corner of the interwebs.

Castles have dungeons, and (in the better classes of fantasy) castles have dragons. Castles are places of magic and wonder, and feature in a great number of fantasy settings. Books, movies, video games, and of course tabletop roleplaying games. Fantasy is a fundamental part of being human, and to dream is to live. Our imaginations are our greatest treasures, and so it forms a great part of this castle. In here, I am hoping to build a great library of all these works, and add some of my own where I may.

Castles can be mysterious, gloomy places, illuminated only by the jagged forks of lightning that flash behind the dark clifftops on which they stand. It is in these places that vampires dwell, as well as all things gothic. Or castles can be light and airy places, elegant palaces with pastel painted walls, lush gardens, and comfortable rooms filled with pillows and cushions. In this place you will find some of both.

There you have an impression of this, my personal blog. My name is Sanne, I am a young transgender woman, I play D&D, and I am overly poetic and dramatic. I hope you’ll join me for tea.
