Traveling through Shimmervale Forest was calm and peaceful. As you walked between the beautiful silver willows and past the shining streams you could not help but notice their grace. And so you come to the gates of Ithildris, the glimmering city on the edge of the woods.
Ithildris is a small city, built with the help of the Elves of Shimmervale. It is a city of much beauty and grace. The city has its potential for magic-users, for it is renowned for its spell ingredients and nature-based magic. There is some structure in Ithildris, although the town isn’t split into districts as many human cities are. There is a more centralized trade presence, but most folks tend to live and wander wherever they please.
As with most elven cities, it does not sport any walls around its perimeter. Instead it is one with nature. Trees grow between the widely spaced buildings made of white stone, tall and carved with elven details. There are many tall spires of this white stone, with green crystal glass and and silver detailing on the windows.

Tower of Dreamweaver Yulanna, Warden of the Glimmering City
This ancient entity, claiming to be elven, is one of the founders of the city. A powerful magic user, they once helped in constructing the many tall spires, and now keep evil from out of the city limits using many wards. They are a mostly unseen protector, preferring to keep to their tower, which is one of the taller ones within the city. They keep it filled with wildlife, however, and tall silver willows grow up the sides. A menagerie of creatures inhabit the flora-filled tower, and the Dreamweaver is always keen on conversation with the critters.
Egladír, the Faerie Circle
The beauty of nature is fully incorporated in this large tavern. It is built under an overhanging hill, open on two sides, a thick natural pillar of stone holding up the rock on the one corner where it isn’t supported. Its taproom is a semi-open pavilion underneath. It has no walls other than the hill, and grass grows on the earthen floor. A second-story balcony of elegantly crafted silverwood rings around above the pavilion, with doors leading to resting chambers in the hillside. It is owned by Tinuviël, a tall, slender half-elven maiden with raven hair and a dress of woven moonlight, and known to be an establishment of high quality.

The group is led by the twins Corellan and Kirtan, of House Yualë. Stables for members’ mounts are attached to the Lodge, one of the only places where horses can be found in the elven city, and where horses can be purchased a reasonable price.
Illuvial, the Fragrance of Princes
Immediately when you enter this shop you are attacked by smells of all different sorts; some pleasant, some rich, some like the pine-trees in the deepest of Drassfell Forest and some like the smoky, dusty hallways of the Magisters in their towers. Housed on the lower floor of a small tower of white stone, the Fragrance of Princes is a shop that specializes in incenses and perfumes. All of them are of fine quality, and can be used by wizards and other mages in their rituals.
The Twelve Candles
The Twelve candles is a small curiosity shop near the city centre of Ithildris. A store of many oddities and curiosities, owned by a frail-looking older woman with a hunchback and a large hood, leaning on a stick. Mishka the Maven is a collector and a connoisseur of components for magical purpose. Most not-too-expensive spell-components can be found here, and some rarer materials as well.
The Cork and the Cauldron
Th Cork and the Cauldron is a large potion boutique on the outskirts of Ithildris. It is a fairly low single-story log building, with moss covering even some of the stained windows and a large rounded front door. A little crooked smokestack lets out a steady puff of smoke. Inside are some rows of widely spaced shelves with different colored salves and vials, and at the back of the shop is a large open space. On one side of it there is a heavy countertop with a large alchemy setup on it. On the other side the floor has made way for a log fire on the bare earth, on top of which sits the titular large cauldron.
It is owned by Wyjlana, a goblin in her mid-forties, who brews the many potions that are for sale in the shop. She is an expert on transmutation magicks and alchemy, but has trouble running her shop alone. Therefore, she has a help in the form of Grumush, a tall ogre who is only slightly near-sighted. He carries heavy things for Wyjlana, stirs the pot and tries to clean the shop as best he can, without knocking too many things over.
