The pantheon of Aenín was once revered by the humans of the regions of Westland, but as the kingdom spread, so did its religion. Now people of all races worship the six deities.
Amon
The Golden Charioteer rides along the heavens in his gilded chariot, banishing the darkness at the dawn of the day. Amon is the god of the sun and light, and of life, birth and renewal. He is the prime deity of creation, and is one of the most worshiped gods of the pantheon.
He is often depicted as a able-bodied, youthful man in shining golden plate armor, driving his chariot along the heavens. His holy day is Sun’s Reach, celebrated on the 26th of Snowmelt.
Horathis
The Adamantine Judge sits on his throne in the land of the dead, judging all before him. Horathis is the god of law and upholds order, and as such is also the god of civilization.
He is often depicted as a large, bare-chested and muscled man, with long grey hair, who sits on a large throne with stoic expression on his blind eyes.
Tespater
The Benign Farmhand is always working. He sows the seeds of nature, then waters them from the heavens, then reaps the harvest with his sickle. Tespater is the god of agriculture, nature, and of the weather, and he is the patron of farmers all across Aenín.
He is often depicted as a bent-over, old man with tanned skin and wrinkles, and a small white beard and circle of hair, wearing a brown tunic while leaning on a shepherd’s crook, wielding a sickle close to the ground.
Doriandor
The Persevering Scribe sends his clerics in the world to gather knowledge, while he spends his time documenting and cataloging all of it in his library beyond the veil of this world. Doriandor is the god of knowledge, which he prizes above all else in this world.
He is often depicted as a middle-aged man with well-groomed, short, brown hair and beard, clothed in splendorous robes of dark blue, purple and silver standing next to a scribes desk, while holding a book and quill in one hand, the other with two fingers raised in the air.
Tyrm
The Virtuous Warrior stands at the front of his armies, ever valiant and awe-inspiring. Where he strikes with his spear lightning shakes the ground. Tyrm is the god of battle, strength and warfare, as well as the god of storms and lightning.
He is often depicted as a burly man with long red hair and thick beard, sometimes in heavy armor, other times in nothing more than a bear skin, but always with his lightning-spear at his side.
Melgrim
The Traveling Lord is always on the move, whether busy guarding travelers from thieves, aiding thieves in roadside ambushes, assisting shepherds on the move, helping doctors on the road, or guiding the spirits of the dead to the afterlife. Melgrim is the god of travelers and roads, but also of trickery, and he is the patron of merchants and doctors, but also of thieves.
He is often depicted as a handsome young man in traveling clothes, with sandals and a straw hat, and angel wings sprouting from his back, carrying a wicker basket with fruits and herbs.
